A. Information You Provide

When you create an account using your Google Account, we collect:

1. Your name, email address, and profile picture from your Google Account
2. Information about your professional role and school
3. The prompts, topic selections, grade levels, and preferences you input to generate activities
4. Content you post publicly, topics, replies, and messages sent via the Community Platform

Important: Do not include student names, IDs, or other personally identifiable student information (PII) in your prompts. Our Service is designed for creating curriculum materials, not for processing student data.

B. Data Collection

We collect and use the following data to improve our Service:

1. Input: The text prompts, topics, grade levels, and preferences you provide to the Activity Engine
2. Output: The activities, documents, and materials generated by the Activity Engine
3. Feedback: Any comments, suggestions, or feedback you provide about the Service
4. Usage Analytics: Information about how you interact with the Service, including page views, features used, and time spent

C. Technical Information

We automatically collect certain technical information:

1. Browser type, operating system, and device information
2. IP address (which may indicate your general location)
3. Log files showing when and how you use the Service

D. Information from Google

The Activity Engine accesses your Google Drive only to create folders (e.g., "Wren Education Activities"), save documents and slides we generate for you, and upload images. We do not scan your entire Google Drive or access files you have not created through the Activity Engine.

If you use our Google Classroom integration, we access your Classroom data to list your active courses (so you can select where to post materials) and to create new coursework materials with attached documents. This more limited scope ensures we cannot access student rosters, grades, or student submissions.

Once activities are saved to your Google Drive or posted to Google Classroom, we cannot see who you share them with, how they are used, or any student interactions with those materials. Your Google Workspace content is governed by Google's privacy practices, not ours.

E. Single Sign-On (SSO) and Community Account Provisioning

When you access our self-hosted Community Platform, we automatically utilize our Single Sign-On (SSO) protocol to create or log you into your community account. This process utilizes your existing account credentials (Name, Email, Profile Image) to authenticate your session seamlessly.

Important Note on Public Contributions: Content you post to the Community Platform is publicly visible to other authorized community members. Please exercise caution regarding any personal information you include in your community posts.

F. Payment Information

If you subscribe to a paid plan, our third-party payment processor (Stripe) collects your payment method details (such as credit card number and expiration date) and billing address. Wren Education does not collect or store your full credit card number or payment details. We only receive and store data related to your subscription status, such as your plan type, renewal date, and a unique customer identifier.

We use the information we collect to:

1. Provide, maintain, and improve the Activity Engine
2. Generate customized educational content using AI models
3. Personalize your experience and for platform administration
4. Understand how educators interact with the Service and identify areas for improvement
5. Design, research, develop, and build current and future products and services
6. Communicate with you regarding updates, support, or your account
7. Ensure the security and integrity of the Service

Important Note: We analyze your inputs and the generated outputs to improve our AI models and develop better features. This means your Pilot Program Data may be reviewed by our team and used to train and refine the Activity Engine.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the following third-party service providers necessary to operate the Activity Engine:

1. Google: For authentication, hosting, Google Drive integration, and document generation
2. AI Providers: We send your prompts and inputs to AI models to generate educational content
3. Database and Hosting Providers: To store user profiles, activity logs, and service data
4. Payment Processors: We use Stripe to process payments and manage subscriptions. We share your email address and an internal user ID with Stripe to link your payment to your account.
5. Analytics and Communication Providers: We use Google Analytics to collect usage statistics to improve the Service. We also use Customer.io to track behavioral events, manage user profiles, and send transactional and marketing communications.

We may also disclose your information if required by law, legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or that of others.

Wren Education’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience, measure Service performance, and analyze usage patterns. Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your device that help us remember your preferences and provide you with a more personalized experience.

Google Analytics and Tracking: We use Google Analytics and Customer.io to help analyze how users use the Service. These tools use cookies and tracking scripts to collect information such as how often users visit the Service, what pages they visit, and what features they interact with. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing Google's opt-out browser add-on.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. However, disabling cookies may limit some functionality of the Service.

We retain your account information and usage data improve the Activity Engine and provide the Service. Files created in your Google Drive are subject to your own retention and deletion practices within Google Drive.

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing help@wrened.com. We will process your request within 30 days, although some information may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

The Activity Engine is designed for educators aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. Students do not interact directly with the Activity Engine, and we do not collect or store student information.

If you are an educator, you must not include personally identifiable information about students in your prompts or inputs to the Service.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

1. Access: Request access to the personal information we hold about you
2. Correction: Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information
3. Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information
4. Opt-Out: Opt out of certain uses of your information

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email and/or a notice on the Activity Engine before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
