Creating an activity opens the first professional learning sequence for the routine you chose: four short reads called Field Notes, delivered one at a time, giving you one small thing to try after each activity. The first run of a new routine can feel slow or quiet. Explaining their thinking instead of just turning in an answer isn't something most students have practiced out loud, so it takes a little getting used to. That's expected, not a sign something's wrong. It gets easier with repetition: try the same routine again and you'll feel the difference.
